Although polygamy is permitted by Islamic law, a man's marriage to a second wife often causes psychological trauma for the first wife, who may resort to court to demand a divorce. In this article, we answer the important question: Does the first wife have the right to seek a divorce simply because her husband marries another woman? What is the position of Kuwaiti law on this matter?
️ First: Is polygamy in itself a sufficient reason for divorce?
