introduction
Persons with disabilities in the State of Kuwait enjoy special legal protection under Law No. 8 of 2010 on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. However, many of these rights are administratively violated by decisions issued by the Public Authority for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, opening the door to legal action and protecting persons with disabilities and their families.

The most important legal rights for people with disabilities in Kuwait:

• The right to a monthly disability allowance
It is paid to the disabled person according to the classification of his disability (mild, moderate, severe).

• The right to education and comprehensive care
This includes schools, university facilities, and support facilities.

• The right to treatment inside and outside Kuwait
The state bears the costs of treatment provided that there are approved reports.

• The right to employment and career support
People with disabilities have priority in hiring and receive monthly support upon employment.

• The right to housing allowances and accessible facilities
